Community Kids Teen Helper Application

Thank you for your interest in serving others by participating in Community Kids! It's an amazing place to share the love of Jesus with the littlest hearts in our church. As a teen helper, your responsibility is to assist the teacher in your classroom. Remember that the little ones are watching you and look up to you! It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to invest in their lives. 

The following is a list that will help you be a successful part of our Community Kids team:
  • Please arrive 20 minutes before the service you are scheduled for. We will have a pre-service meeting in the workroom.
  • Stay in the classroom you are assigned to. No one should remove you from class unless Bobbi or Wendy give you permission. For the safety and security of our students, there must be a teacher and helper in the classroom at all times. The only exception to this rule is if you are escorting a child to the bathroom.
  • If you take a child to the bathroom, wait outside the door and then walk the child back to class when they are finished.
  • If you cannot serve on the day that you are scheduled, it is your responsibility to find another teen helper to substitute. Please notify Bobbi or Wendy of any changes to your schedule as soon as you can. If you have trouble finding a sub, notify Bobbi or Wendy.
  • Dress appropriately. You are a representative of Community Church Oshkosh. Please wear your Community Kids t-shirt or sweatshirt every time you serve.
