Before continuing with the application, please take a moment to read through our leadership Covenant

We expect each member of our leadership team to be committed to the following leadership qualities:

Dignified: Honorable, respectable, esteemed, worthy. A CK leader cares about acting like and representing Jesus at all times and in all places.

Not double-tongued: The double-tongued say one thing to certain people but then say something else to others or say one thing but mean another. They are two-faced and insincere. They are not trustworthy. A CK leader cannot authentically praise Jesus with their lips and curse or deceive others with those same lips.

Not addicted to alcohol or other substances: Being addicted to alcohol or other substances is not just about getting drunk or high. It is about self-control, discipline, and discernment. We cannot be led by the Holy Spirit and give our mind or body over to indulgence in substances (Ephesians 5:18). We are called to keep from being a stumbling block to those around us. As CK leaders, whether in public or in private, how we partake and manage what we consume is serious. “All things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial.” (1 Corinthians 10)

Not greedy for dishonest gain: If a person is a lover of money, they do not value what God values. Jealousy and greed oppose sacrifice and generosity. A CK leader is called to be sacrificial and generous, not just in leading, but in life.

Sound in faith and life: We are called to be unwavering in our commitment to the Scriptures and aim to live in accordance with the Scriptures at all times. The behavior of a CK leader should be consistent with Scripture.

Blameless: “Blameless” means to be above reproach morally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. A CK leader strives to live a life above reproach. Guard your testimony for Jesus; it is both valuable and fragile.

Sexually faithful: A CK leader wholeheartedly pursues sexual purity and honors the sanctity of marriage which God intended to be a covenant between one man and one woman. A CK leader is not flirtatious or promiscuous and understands the value of protecting their sexual purity, along with the sexual purity of those they serve. Sexual purity is defined by God in Scripture. Any distortion of biblical guidelines for sexual conduct and relationships is out of bounds for a CK leader.

Interacts in household well: A CK leader is not just a spiritual leader on the stage, but also in their home. How you care for your own family is a good indication of your spiritual maturity.
